Garden Room Restaurant

After Good Things Utah it was off to lunch at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Yummy Yummy! This is a fun day for mom's or Grandma's to come with us!

Going Down???

Be Loyal to the Royal!

We also went to the Church Administration building for a visit with Elder Jay Jensen. Elder Jay E. Jensen is currently serving as a member of the Presidency of the Seventy, having served in Area Presidencies in Central and South America and in different areas in the USA and Canada.

Elder Jensen gave the girls a wonderful talk and left them with the message that they were all beautiful on the outside with their crowns and banners but to always "Be Loyal to the Royal" that is inside of you. It was awesome!
He also gave them the opportunity to ask him any questions "they have ever wanted to ask" and told them the purpose of the conference room that they were in. Each of the chairs the girls sat in were the chairs used by the 12 apostles when they meet there, which they do weekly. At the head of the table were three chairs that were for the 1st Presidency.

Here are our beautiful Rodeo Queens!

At the conference table -sharing very special chairs.

Open Hearts

This year Mady Memmott created a platform called “Open Hearts”. It is about working in our community to break the stigma that sometimes is placed on those with special needs. One of her ideas was to invite four very special young women from our high school to ride with our royalty on the Pleasant Grove float in the Strawberry Day’s parade. They will also be attending our queen’s tea and some other events. Here is a picture of them the night they received the "crowns and pins" at city council meeting! What a fun time we are going to have!

Miss Utah Tea Party

Today was the Miss Utah Little Miss Tea Party! Staci attended with her Little Miss... Sadie Marchbanks! The Little Miss program is a mentoring program for little girls in the State. Each contestant choses a little girl to be her Little Miss. This year Sadie is the lucky one with Staci! Sadie will be in the production number each night at Miss Utah and the night that Staci competes in evening wear... Sadie will be on stage with her during the modeling portion. The Little Misses are special guests at many activities during the week. They each get a Miss Utah bag, a beautiful white dress and a tiny "Litte Miss Crown". It is so fun for each of these tiny ladies!
